Puncak Muslim Food

The funny way we got to know about this place was through a friend, Rae. She lives in Australia and only comes back occasionally and there was once she brought Wei Meng to Puncak. Even we, Singaporeans, living in Singapore did not even know about the place!

Since then, it was the place to go for curry noodles!

On our recent visit there on a friday night the place was packed that we only managed to find a seat right outside the kitchen.

I was in the mood for some curry chicken too so I ordered the shredded chicken and Wei Meng has the normal chicken parts. I enjoy the curry chicken because the curry is really thick with a very nice spice taste which goes really well with the noodles. You do have a choice of either thick or thin noodles. That night I felt that the curry was way too spicy for me. So if you can't take spicy food this may not be something you would like to have. You can try the thai bee hoon instead!

The next thing we ordered is the you tiao and fried wanton! The fried wanton is so unique because there is no pork in it but it taste exactly like the wanton's you get from non-halal shops. The inside is orange in colour adf somehow I think its carrots!

So if you have a chance, do visit Puncak Muslim store at Far East Plaza on the 4th floor if I am not wrong! The food there is reasonable for the mains (curry noodles $4) but the you tiao and wanton is a little pricey ($8).
